How to Manually Adjust a Location's Coordinates

Modified on Fri, 12 Sep at 10:42 AM

When adding a Time-In Location, the system automatically generates a GPS pin based on the address provided. However, this pin may sometimes be inaccurate—especially for new buildings, rural areas, or locations with incomplete address data.

To ensure employees can clock in and out correctly, you can manually update the location by entering the exact GPS coordinates.

Follow the steps below:

1. Go to Manage Company > Time

2. Scroll down to the Time Attendance Locations section and expand it.

3. Click ACTIONS next to the location, then select Edit.

4. Open Google Maps, search for the location, right-click on the correct spot, and copy the latitude and longitude coordinates that appear.

5. Return to the location settings in HReasily. Select Input coordinates manually and paste the copied coordinates into the New Coordinates field.

6. Once saved, the system will use your manually entered coordinates for attendance tracking.

Notes & Best Practices

  • Always double-check the copied coordinates before saving.

  • If employees report issues clocking in, review the set radius and adjust if necessary (e.g., 300–500 meters for indoor use).

  • For mobile staff without fixed work sites, consider assigning a broader radius instead of a precise pin.
